England can be described by one word. Variety. Obviously, it gives you one of the easiest way to see hundreds, if not thousands, of years of history. But England also holds modernity like you’ve never seen, especially in downtown London. And, the nature in the countryside is beyond compare. England is the place to be!
In this post, I’m gonna show you the best in all of England! First, the wonderful city of London.
Seen in this photo is the HMS Belfast, and the famed Tower Bridge. Winding through downtown is the River Thames, photos from any of the many bridges in this city will be amazing.
One of the best things to do in London is tour the Tower of London. This century old fortress is perhaps the safest place in Europe in case of an invasion, and the most interesting.
Buckingham Palace is an amazing place to see the Changing of the Guard, where a ceremony with the ’emotionless’ guards is a great way to start your day.
Although not a popular area, Neal’s Yard is a great place for shopping, eating, walking around and enjoying the colors.
Although a good 45 minute drive outside of London, Windsor Castle is a must-do. It’s well worth the drive, where you can see where the queen lives when she’s not in Buckingham Palace.
Stonehenge is a world wonder. It’s a place of it’s own and you have to do it. Give it at least an hour and a half to explore ancient history and mystery.
The Isle of Wight is a stunning island off the coast of England. The point shown above, The Needles, was one of my favorite places I visited. Go there for a short (windy) hike and some amazing photos!
While planning my trip to England, the Seven Sisters Cliffs were on the top of my list of things to do, and I wasn’t disappointed. These mega cliffs, which you can walk right up to, are such a wonder, and you’ll be mesmerized looking over the ocean.
England is a beautiful country. Centered around London, the city draws you in. But the country is draws the you in you out. So go see it. Go take a break. Escape. Have fun!
